The Mac McLester Champion of Recovery Award is an annual, peer-driven award recognizing an individual whose leadership, advocacy, and sustained commitment have made a meaningful and lasting impact on the substance use and co-occurring mental health recovery community in Austin and Central Texas.

The award recognizes individuals who strengthen the recovery community, improve quality of life for those in recovery, and demonstrate proven leadership and advocacy. Recipients embody selflessness, humanity, and inspiration by placing the well-being of others above personal or organizational gain and creating a lasting positive impact in the community.
We invite you to submit a nomination or share this opportunity with others in your network.
The Mac McLester Champion of Recovery Award will be presented at the LifeBuilder Luncheon on May 6, 2026. Tickets are available through the Communities for Recovery website or by clicking the link below.
