Volunteering has taught me to better help others, I need to recognize when I need help.

I have always enjoyed volunteering, it has been something I’ve learned through my parents’ example, however being a volunteer for Communities for Recovery has made an impact in my life.

I have learned to become part of a community that not only enables me to grow and learn, but to be able to give back to those who may be starting their process in recovery.

Volunteering has taught me to better help others, I need to recognize when I need help.

Selfcare and accepting myself has been the most rewarding lesson I have gained.

In doing so I am a better person and can better assist others.

Volunteering has brought me closer to a community of encouragement, great admiration, and love for one another, and know I am not alone. For that I will always be grateful.

It inspired me to do my best and reciprocate what has so abundantly given to me.

Thank you, Communities for Recovery, for an opportunity to volunteer and for recognizing my work.
