Chelsea Biggerstaff

Hey, kids! My name is Chelsea, and I’m a Peer Recovery Coach at Communities for Recovery. My recovery journey began in September 2018, and Communities for Recovery quickly became a very influential part of that journey. I realized early on that I wanted to become a more involved part of such an amazing organization, so I started out as a volunteer with C for R, helping lead various support groups and organizing and participating in events for the recovery community. The experience I had giving back to the community helped lead me to the decision to not only become a Peer Recovery Coach, but also to go back to school and pursue a degree in Social Work . Since then, I’ve taken the RSPS training and interned at Communities for Recovery, before being hired on as a Peer Recovery Coach in February 2020 and the rest is history!
