SHINE-CforR’s New Wellness Series

SHINE – Sustainable Health I Now Enjoy! – Wellness Program

What is wellness? Dictionary.com states that Wellness is –

  • “The quality or state of being healthy in body and mind, especially as the result of deliberate effort.”
  • “An approach to healthcare that emphasizes preventing illness and prolonging life, as opposed to emphasizing treating diseases.”

As people in recovery, we understand that Wellness encompasses so much more. It is the integration of body, mind and spirit. It is a lifestyle you design to achieve your highest potential for well-being. It is balanced. It is a choice you make to move towards optimal health.

Each SHINE session will begin with simple movement, followed by education on various health related topics, such as nutrition, mindfulness, exercise, healthy recipes with demo/tasting & more! Sessions end with meditation on healthy mind/body.

In my own path of sustained continuous recovery (30 years,) I have learned and collected many tools to enhance my personal path, and continue to grow and evolve. This program will bring together my own experience, along with others who have experience and knowledge to offer in enhancing your path.

Let’s come together to learn, grow and become our BEST!
